NRA Instructor courses are discipline specific. Candidates are required to satisfactorily complete eight (6) hours of the NRA Basic Instructor Training Course previous to attending the NRA Shotgun Instructor Course eleven (11) hours, and demonstrate solid and safe firearms handling skills.

 

This course includes classroom and range time learning how instruct others in the use of shotguns. Students learn NRA's rules for safe gun handling, shotgun parts and operation, etc. Role-playing is a major part of an instructor course. Students will be working in teams, actually conducting portions of the course to other students.

 

Prerequisite:
+ NRA Basic Instructor Training Certification (Completed within the last 24 months)
+ NRA Basic Shotgun Course

 

Equipment/Ammunition:

+ Shotgun (Hunting/Sporting style)
+ Eye and Ear Protection
+ 25 rounds ammunition minimum (Birdshot)
+ Sack lunch (optional)
